Do Or Die Essays - Kenny McCormick, , Term Papers
Do or Die One day my soccer team came over ,we had a big party. We had won the semi final game. We were watching a FIFA soccer game, and Michael Smith fell on my couch. Blood spilt everywhere. It was freaky. Then we called an ambulance. He went to the hospital. The next day we went to see if Michael was OK, He was fine. (Someone tried to kill me last night) Michael said. They found a knife in his back. Later that week Michael was back. He could not practice yet. John -Fredy did not come to practice, and are star goalkeeper disappeared. We looked in the locker room, we found a blood trail. We opened up the locker, and we found Kenny and John-Fredy it was sick. The night before I walked in my house and the window was open. All of a sudden someone opened the door behind me. I jumped and turned. Oh thank god it was just Franco L. and Michael S. They came over to check to see if I was ready for the championship game the next day. We sat down and talked a little until we heard my car alarm go off. We went down to check. They I looked in my car and the leading scorers card was missing. Then I started to look in the bushes. Then out of nowhere ? Kenny?! I turned and looked and said ?where?. They started to laugh. Then they said I look just like Kenny the goalkeeper. Then Michael said ?Thank god it was you, you scared me ,I Thought Kenny came back as a ghost?. After a while they had to go. Oh my god I just figured out who's was next, it was me. Kenny was not supposed to die it was me that was supposed to. During the championship game I looked around I could not keep me mind on the game. During half time the score was 1-1. It felt like only a few minutes went by but then the came the 90 minute marker. We got a penalty shot with seconds to go. It just hit me I ran and bumped Michael smith out of the way. I took the shot. It zipped into the upper left corner just missing the goalies hands. GOAL!! The score was 2-1. Then I remembered ?officer, officer get this man? I said. They grabbed him and said why and how? First he stuck himself so no one would think it was him. Then he went into my car and took the card, It said first Walter Gilgorri second John-Fredy and third Michael Smith. When he killed Kenny he meant to kill me. From behind I look just like him and Kenny was killed by being shot in the back of the head. Then he killed John-Fredy so what he was trying to do was kill off the first and second best scorers on the team. So make it easier for him to become MVP of the game and win the prize money. Free Essays on Gifted Education
Education of Gifted Children Started in the 1970ââ¬â¢s, Americaââ¬â¢s Gifted & Talented programs are used to enhance the curriculum of students included in either category in order to challenge and strengthen their unique abilities. These students are usually provided a separate class with specialized lessons in all areas and a teacher with a special degree in gifted education. I feel that it is important that the teacher was a gifted student who would know what the students must face as "above average" members of their school. The job market for gifted education offers a wide range of opportunity and gifted teachers are needed all over the country. One of the earliest programs for gifted and talented students was set up in 1974, at The Old Donation Center, in Virginia Beach. Students scoring within the top 3% of students on an assessment test are referred here to be further challenged. These students are considered gifted and have special teachers and classes to promote development of their talents and minds. Programs like this began to pop up around the nation in the 70ââ¬â¢s; however, gifted students were looked down upon by teachers, parents, and peers. Many people considered them to be "freaks" because they were different. They didnââ¬â¢t understand the implications of the terms "gifted" and "talented". Most people simply expected gifted students to act more mature or to be geniuses, even though gifted students are the same as other children in their needs as human beings. Some gifted students were forced to grow up too fast and some simply ignored the fact that they were smarter than others, thus, they were lost in the shuffle. The irony of it all is that gifted-ness seems to run in families and the children of these repressed gifted students are, themselves, gifted. But what exactly is a "gifted" student? Students (elementary & secondary) are g... Gender Inequalities in Organizations Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 3750 words
Gender Inequalities in Organizations - Essay Example The discussion aims at highlighting and underpinning the concept of equality of opportunities for women that will offer likely benefits and advantages to the business and social environment of the Saudi Arabia. It has been seen and perceived that women are incapable and unfit for certain kind of jobs and men get undue advantages and benefits in the social and business environment. The discussion identifies the importance and need of equality in the business environment to create a favorable and positive business environment for men and women. Women are often subjected to sexual harassment and abuses compared to men and creating a positive environment will only empower them in the present as well as in the future. The discussion also aims at understanding the reasons behind gender inequality along with identifying problems and issues pertaining to it in the business and social environment. For this purpose, the social and business environment of Saudi Arabia has been assessed and analysed. At the same time, the educational and social environment has been analysed in terms of impact and influence. It is important to change the educational structure along with reducing the impact and influence of social and economic constraints to attract more number of women in the national work force. This requires equal rights and equality in everything without discriminating against the gender. It also requires help and support of public and private sector organizations to create a base for Saudi women in terms of exposing them to business ins and outs along with offering training to enhance their skills. Therefore, the role of public and private sector organisations has also been assessed and analysed in a critical, illustrative manner.... However, with 15% of national workforce comprising of women, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is yet to utilize untapped potentials of its work force especially those of women (UNDP, 2008). The current work force is driven by majority of expatriates who have been contributing to the success and development of the country. However, the role of nationals comprising of men and women with potential to perform and contribute remains obsolete. The majority of these are women who have not been exposed to the business environment. There is no denying that legislative, social, occupational and educational constraints prevent women to participate in the Saudi labor market but things need to be changed in order to offer equal opportunities to people without differentiating on the basis of the gender. Saudi Arabia is a powerful economy with wide arrays of business opportunities. In order to emerge as a dynamic and global force, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia needs to overcome these constraints. Sambidge (2011) stated that the Arab nations continue to lag behind other nations when it comes to gender equality. As per the report published by the World Economic Forum Global Gender Gap, 2011, no Middle East country was in the list of top 100 countries for gender equality out of the 135 countries covered. UAE was ranked at (103), followed by Kuwait (105), Bahrain (110), Oman (127) and Saudi Arabia (131). However, things have been changing at a rapid pace as women are now allowed to vote for the very first time highlighting the growth and acceptance of gender equality. The notion of men leading men and women has been prevailing from early centuries. This argument can be considered as the base for the start of inequalities between the genders. However, the mode of discrimination seems to
